We are committed to making the Bathroom & Fireplace Warehouse Ltd website accessible to the widest possible audience. Bathroom & Fireplace Warehouse Ltd is always working and trying to increase the accessibility and usability of our website.

 

We have designed this site with accessibility in mind. Some of these features include:

 

  • Avoiding the use of flickering or blinking elements.

  • The use of common web conventions.

  • Using clear, simple language that is easy to understand.

 

NAVIGATION ON A DESKTOP COMPUTER

 

  • Links and buttons can be navigated using the Tab key and activated using the Enter key.

 

  • The screen magnifier and large font support are built into your browser. To activate them use:

Ctrl and to zoom out

Ctrl and 0 will reset the screen to normal.

 

  • Activate reader view on your internet browser via the dedicated icon in the search bar (compatible with Safari, Firefox, Opera and Edge browsers). To access it, press Ctrl, Shift and R or the F9 key.

 

  • Mobile accessibility features are designed for users with hearing, visual or mobility impairments to simplify the use of an iOS or Android device.

 

To enable accessibility features on iOS:

 

  • Open the Settings app on your device.

  • Go to Settings, then Accessibility.

  • Choose the accessibility features you want to enable from the categories provided (physical and motor, visual, hearing or general).

 

To enable accessibility features on Android:

  • Open the Settings application on your device.

  • Select Accessibility then choose from the options available or opt to place the Accessibility icon on your home screen.

  • Some devices will require you to accept the permissions, select OK.

 

 

KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH THIS SITE’S ACCESSIBILITY

 

  • Videos don’t always have audio descriptions, captions or transcripts.

  • Headings don’t always follow a hierarchical structure.

  • Some images don’t have appropriate alternative text.

  • Some buttons and links aren’t keyboard operable.

 

WHAT WE’RE DOING TO IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY

 

We are:

  • Including accessibility requirements when creating new website features.

 

We’re going to:

  • Conduct internal accessibility audits of our most popular pages every 6 months.
